Happy diwali
Historically , Diwali is celebrated from past so many years . people celebrated this festival for the new growth of their farming . but some people belive that  on this day of Diwali maa laxmi  got married with god Vishnu .

HAPPY DIWALI

celebrated this festival by worshipping god kali . and hindu’s celebrated this festival by worshipping god ganesha { face like elephant } and maa laxmi{image of happiness, prosperity }. According to the hindu’s script and scluptures , it is believe that Diwali was originated like- maa laxmi appeared in shir sagar  after a long time practice of sarag manthan which was done by gods and evils.  She was appeared to provide happiness, money , prosperity to all people. People give respect and welcome her by worship. They all were happy that is why they distributed sweets and gifts and this tradition is still follow , people exchange sweets and gifts to each other.
Diwali is a festival for 5days, and each day has its own stories .
  • Diwali’s first day is celebrated as dhan teras , which means to happiness and prosperity will come in our home. People buy gold coins, silver utensils , and other things and they all believe that if they buy any new thing on this day , the prosperity and maa laxmi will come in their home.
  • Diwali’s second day is celebrated as NARAK CHATURDASHI . people celebrated this day and believe that  on this day god Krishna had  defeated narkasur.
  • Diwali’s third day is celebrated as AMAVASYA . on this day people celebrated this festival by believing that maa laxmi will come with happiness and prosperity in their home.
  • Diwali’s fourth day  is celebrated as BALI PRADA. It is related to the scripts of god Vishnu. And it is also said that on this day god Vishnu defeated the raja bali by taking the avatar of vaman. Bali was a genius  person.but by running their instituation on earth he became greedy because god Vishnu has given him unlimited powers .  

    DIWALI 

    People celebrate this festival by lightning , pomp-up , sweets , gifts , crackers and with full enjoyment. This festival is not only celebrate in india , but in all over the world also. Diwali celebration is older than our history of india. In india , about Diwali and its all history is mentioned in history , scripts and other sclupters and literatures. But it is not that much easy to know about the whole thing about Diwali. According to the literature there are so many reasons behind the Diwali celebrations.
    The main reason behind celebration of Diwali is mentioned in the ramayan . according to this , ram was in vanvas for 14years where he lived  for a long time and when he came to their state people welcomed him. The cause behind the vanvas of ram was to kill evil raja ravan. People celebrated when ram came to their state and from that day people celebrated this day as Diwali.
    There are so many histories about Diwali , one of them was mentioned in the mahakavya mahabharat.  According to this , 5pandav brothers cam eto back by living 12years  in hastinapur
    And 1 year in unknown place. Because they all were defeated by kaurava’s in gambling. The state people welcomed them by lightening and sweets . people also celebrated this day as a victory of pandava’s.

    HISTORY  OF  DIWALI  

    Other literatures talked about the reason behind celebration of Diwali of appearance of maa laxmi from shir sagar, according to hindu shashtra , to want a huge navratna’s and amrit , god and evils did amrit manthan . maa laxmi appeared in kartik month and married with god Vishnu , and this is the reason of Diwali celebration.
    According to the pure hindu scripts , bhagvat puran ,to save the three loka’s god Vishnu had defeated raja bali by taking the vaman avatar. God Vishnu came in front of bali and demanded 3feet place, bali said ok and Vishnu measured three lokas with his feet . and Diwali is celebrated for the victory of god Vishnu .
    It is believed that once upon a time there was a king named vikramaditya , who as famous for his powers , ability and capability . state people did rajyaabhishek of king vikramaditya . it is also said that on the day of Diwali the most genius person swami dayanadsaraswati has taken the nirvana . he established aryasamaj in 1875. Hindu remembered him on Diwali for his contributions. Jains also celebrated Diwali because on this day their organizer of jain dharm mahavira got knowledge .

    There are 5day celebration of Diwali :

    DHANTERAS -  the meaning of dhanteras is – dhant+teras{13days} , on this pure day , people buy silvers , gold coins ,jewelry ,untensils and other things by believing that maa laxmi will come in their home and fulfill their all wishes.
    NARAKCHTURDASHI-  on this day god krishna had defeated the devil narkasur by taking the avatar of god Vishnu. It is a victory on all the badness. On this day people wake up in early morning and take bath with good fragnance oil. And wear new clothes, womens draw rangoli and light Deepak and lights in all their home.
    LAXMI POOJA-  This is the main day of Diwali , on this day people worship maa laxmi , god ganesha and wish that god will fulfill their wishes . maa laxmi will come with happiness and prosperity in their home.
    BALI PRADA AND GOBARDHAN- in north india , people celebrated this day as aankut. On this day , god Krishna defeated the anger of indra. And protected all the villagers from flood and saved the life of people .god Krishna has taken the sholw govardhan pahad and saved the life of people. People celebrated this day by decorating their home , and by distributing sweets,
    BHAIYADUJ OR YAM DYUTIYA -  It is a day of brother and sister love. The main reason behind the celebration of bhaiya duj is that yam  came to meet with his sister yami and she welcomed his by aarti and sweets.
